Work
Timberland
VF Corporation, Sr Visual Designer
The VF Corporation were in the process of overhauling their entire digital framework across all their brands (Timberland, Vans, The North Face, Dickies). Previously, each brand had their own unique site design & structure. This overhaul would create one uniformed design architecture, allowing any adjustments to affect all sites.
I supported the Timberland brand, coming into the process where wires were already established. New & unique pages still needed to be created and designed.
My main responsibilities were to skin the pages with Timberland branding, support the Dev team with design treatments & variations, solve UX complexities around internal CMS functionalities, and creating CMS styling presets to quickly set up a new content page.
PLP - Product Listing Page
The Product Listing pages featured all the products within a grid layout. From this page, users can add products to their cart, quick shop, view color options. Upselling graphics (e-spots) break up the grid for cross-promotion.
Quick Shop - Inline
Users would have the option to quick shop right from the PLP. An overlay would appear and show a condensed version of the product description page (excluding full product features, reviews, recommendations).
PDP - Product Description Page
After a user clicks on a specific product, they’re brought to the Product Description page showing an overview of the product. Users will be able to view multiple product shots, all available shoe sizes, product features, user reviews and recommendations.
CMS Presets
We handled all the variations supported to create content pages. Majority of the components are templatized customizable in the CMS. This is where my UX skills were prioritized, organizing how the different layout options that would be feasible and user friendly. Working with the Dev team to ensure correct usability and functionality.
