Kids’ Choice Sports 2015
Nickelodeon, Lead Visual Designer
Much like the Kid’s Choice Awards, that have been running annually since 1988, Nickelodeon introduced the Kids’ Choice Sports Awards in 2014, honoring kids' favorite athletes, teams, and sports moments from the year.
In 2015, I led the visual design of the voting portion of the website, for users to get online to cast their vote, along with some promotional graphics for Amazon store and wake screens on Kindle tablets.
We supported the voting experience on the Nick apps and website. Wires were designed by the UX for all scenarios and events, including live voting during the award show, DOS (Day of Show) photo stream, ad interstitials, and thank you screens.
A lot of spec work needed to be done in order for the voting selection boxes to work within the page layouts, on all breakpoints. Specs for the Dev team were equally as important, for them to understand how the spacing should work among all the components.
We were promoting the award show on all our platforms, also in the Amazon Store, for users to download the Nick app to cast their vote. Marketing designs were created for tablet wake screens as well.
